Method

Preparation

  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • On the non-buttered side of one slice, spread pesto and place a slice of cheese on top.
  • Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing up.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
  • Cook until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Flip the sandwich and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted, about another 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove from skillet, cut in half, and serve warm.

Notes
