Ingredients
For the Dough
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk Warm but not hot
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 package (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg
For the Frosting
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
Preparation
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add melted butter, egg, and the yeast mixture; stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle and spread with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Roll up tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake rolls for 20-25 minutes.
Frosting
- For frosting, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread cream cheese frosting over warm rolls before serving.

Notes
