  • 1 package Trader Joe’s frozen French Onion Soup Use both pouches in the package.
  • 2 cups beef broth Substitute with vegetable broth for vegetarian option.
  • ½ cup shredded Gruyère cheese Can use other melting cheeses.
  • Trader Joe’s Crispy Fried Onions or shallots For topping.

Method

Cooking the Broth

  • In a saucepan, heat the French onion soup with the beef broth on medium-low heat for 6-8 minutes.

Cooking the Noodles

  • Meanwhile, bring a medium saucepan of water to a rolling boil.
  • Add the ramen noodles to the boiling water and cook for about 3 minutes or until they are tender.

Serving

  • Divide the cooked noodles into bowls and ladle the hot onion broth over the top.
  • Just before serving, sprinkle with shredded Gruyère and crispy fried onions.
