- 2 packs ramen noodles Use instant ramen noodles.
- 1 package Trader Joe’s frozen French Onion Soup Use both pouches in the package.
- 2 cups beef broth Substitute with vegetable broth for vegetarian option.
- ½ cup shredded Gruyère cheese Can use other melting cheeses.
- Trader Joe’s Crispy Fried Onions or shallots For topping.
Method
Cooking the Broth
- In a saucepan, heat the French onion soup with the beef broth on medium-low heat for 6-8 minutes.
Cooking the Noodles
- Meanwhile, bring a medium saucepan of water to a rolling boil.
- Add the ramen noodles to the boiling water and cook for about 3 minutes or until they are tender.
Serving
- Divide the cooked noodles into bowls and ladle the hot onion broth over the top.
- Just before serving, sprinkle with shredded Gruyère and crispy fried onions.
