Ingredients

Mushroom Ingredients

  • 16 large large mushrooms Choose firm and plump mushrooms for the best texture.

Stuffing Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage Choose your favorite type of sausage, such as Italian or turkey.
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Make sure it is softened for easy mixing.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional) Panko can also be used for added crunch.
  • as needed Olive oil for drizzling Used to drizzle on top before baking.

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems.
  • In a skillet, cook the ground sausage until browned.
  • In a bowl, mix together the cooked sausage, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Assembly

  • Stuff each mushroom cap with the sausage mixture.
  • If using, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for added texture.
  • Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes
