- 16 large large mushrooms Choose firm and plump mushrooms for the best texture.
Stuffing Ingredients
- 1 pound ground sausage Choose your favorite type of sausage, such as Italian or turkey.
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened Make sure it is softened for easy mixing.
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional) Panko can also be used for added crunch.
- as needed Olive oil for drizzling Used to drizzle on top before baking.
Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems.
- In a skillet, cook the ground sausage until browned.
- In a bowl, mix together the cooked sausage, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Assembly
- Stuff each mushroom cap with the sausage mixture.
- If using, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for added texture.
- Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes
