Method
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add cherry tomatoes.
- Sprinkle sugar, salt, and pepper, then drizzle with balsamic vinegar.
- Cook until the tomatoes start to caramelize, about 5-7 minutes.
- Transfer the tomatoes to a round baking dish, cut-side up.
- Roll out the puff pastry and place it over the tomatoes, tucking in the edges.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Let it rest for a few minutes, then carefully invert onto a serving plate.
