Method
Preparation
- Place the carrots in the slow cooker.
- Top with brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and black pepper.
- Pour the maple syrup over the carrots and dot with butter cubes.
Cooking
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 3 hours, stirring once or twice.
- For a thicker glaze, uncover for the final 30 minutes or reduce the sauce on the stovetop.
- Garnish with fresh thyme, if desired, and serve warm.
