Ingredients
Burger Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped dill pickles
- 1/2 teaspoon pickle juice
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon rice vinegar
Main Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20) High fat content for juiciness
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 6 slices American cheese
- 6 pieces flour tortillas (street taco size)
- Shredded lettuce For topping
- Burger pickles For topping
- Optional toppings: bacon, white onions
Method
Preparation
- In a small bowl, mix together all the burger sauce ingredients. Stir until fully combined and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper. Mix well and divide it into 6 equal-sized balls. Set aside.
- Prepare your tortillas and cheese, and have your toppings ready. The cooking process is quick, so being prepared is crucial!
Cooking
- Preheat a flat top griddle to medium-high heat. Place the meatballs on the griddle.
- Using a burger press, gently press down each ball until flattened, taking about 15-20 seconds for each patty. Let them cook for about 40 seconds.
- Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of cheese on each one. Also, put the tortillas on the griddle at this time. Close the lid and cook for approximately 2 minutes.
- Open the lid, flip the tortillas, and carefully lift the patties onto the toasted tortillas. Transfer to a plate.
Serving
- Top with shredded lettuce, burger sauce, and pickles. You can also add bacon and thin slices of white onion if desired. Enjoy!
