  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can use other types of cheese.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with another type of cream soup.
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup milk

Method

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Once done, drain them.
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onion over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  • In a bowl, mix the sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles, the ground beef mixture, and the sour cream mixture until everything is well mixed.
  • Transfer this mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is melted.

Notes
