Ingredients
Brownie Base
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cheesecake Layer
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's softened to avoid lumps.
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Method
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the sourdough starter, cocoa powder, flour, sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Layering
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Spread this mixture over the brownie layer.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes
