- 1 cup sourdough starter Make sure your starter is active and bubbly.
- 1 cup warm water Water should be warm to activate the starter.
- 3 cups all-purpose flour You can substitute with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Method
Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the sourdough starter and warm water. Stir until well mixed.
- Gradually add in the flour and salt, mixing until a sticky dough forms.
- Add olive oil and knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise at room temperature for 4-6 hours or until it has doubled in size.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer to a pizza stone or a baking sheet.
- Add your favorite toppings and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
