Ingredients
For the Chicken and Sauce
- 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces Use your preferred cut of chicken.
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey Adjust the sweetness to taste.
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional) Leave out for a milder flavor.
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil For cooking.
For the Noodles
- 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles) Choose based on preference.
- 2 green onions chopped For garnish.
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional) For garnish.
Method
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes to make the sauce.
- Toss chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated.
Cooking
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat. Let it simmer and thicken for 1–2 minutes.
- Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and toss with a little oil if desired.
- Add noodles to the skillet and toss to combine with the chicken and sauce.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave until heated through.
