Ingredients
For the salad
- 1 package (3 oz) strawberry-flavored gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 can (15 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
- 2 cups strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) Try toasted nuts like pecans or almonds for extra crunch.
Method
Preparation
- In a large bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water. Chill until slightly thickened, about 1 hour.
- Stir in the drained crushed pineapple, sliced strawberries, marshmallows, and nuts (if using).
- Fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a large glass bowl and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
- Serve chilled and enjoy your delightful dessert!
