Ingredients
For the tea
- 8 cups water
- 1.5 tablespoons dried mint Alternatively, use fresh mint.
- 1.5 tablespoons dried hibiscus Or fresh hibiscus petals, adjusted quantity.
For the flavor
- 1 pound strawberries Hulled and for pureeing.
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons honey Adjust according to taste.
- ice For serving.
Method
Preparation
- Bring the water to a boil in a pot.
- Place the dried mint and hibiscus in a tea ball.
- Once the water is boiling, pour it over the tea ball in a large pitcher or tea pot.
- Steep for 15 minutes.
- Remove the tea ball and discard its contents.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature, then chill it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- After chilling, transfer 1 cup of the tea to a blender.
- Add the hulled strawberries, lemon juice, and honey to the blender.
- Puree until smooth, then stir this mixture back into the pitcher of tea.
- Serve over ice.

Notes
