Ingredients
For the Pasta
- 12 pieces manicotti pasta shells
For the Cheese Filling
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- to taste Salt and pepper
For Assembly
- 2 cups spaghetti sauce Store-bought or homemade
- 1 cup additional mozzarella cheese for topping
Method
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the manicotti shells according to package instructions, then drain and cool.
- In a bowl, mix together ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the manicotti shells with the cheese mixture.
Assembly
- Spread a layer of spaghetti sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the stuffed manicotti on top of the sauce, and cover with remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on top.
Baking
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly, then serve.

Notes
