Ingredients
Fruits
- 1 piece Banana, ripe, peeled and chopped Can substitute with ½ cup plain yogurt for creaminess.
- ½ cup Pineapple, frozen or fresh, chopped Mango can be used instead.
- ½ cup Strawberries, frozen or fresh, tops removed Raspberries can be used as an alternative.
Liquids and Sweeteners
- ½ teaspoon Sugar Optional, or use honey/maple syrup.
- 1 cup Ice Adjust if using all frozen fruits.
- ½ cup Water Or coconut water/milk/plant-based milk.
Method
Preparation
- Start by peeling the banana and cutting it into chunks.
- Rinse the strawberries and remove their green tops. If you are using fresh pineapple, chop it up.
- If you have frozen fruit, you can add that directly into the blender.
Blending
- Place the banana in the blender first, then add the strawberries and pineapple.
- Pour in ½ cup of water to help everything blend smoothly.
- Add 1 cup of ice and sprinkle in ½ teaspoon of sugar if you like it sweeter. If your fruit is ripe, you might not need the sugar!
- Blend on low first, then turn to high for 30–45 seconds until you have a smooth texture. If it’s too thick, add a bit more water.
- Pour the smoothie into a tall glass. Insert a straw and enjoy it immediately while it’s cold!

Notes
For a creamier texture, use plain yogurt instead of banana. Experiment with different fruits for favorite combinations. If you want it colder, add more ice or use all frozen fruits. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and consume within a day.
